21 August 2025 — #CIMTConnects with Mekong Institute and welcomed Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of the Mekong Institute (MI), together with senior representatives, for a meeting at the CIMT Office in Putrajaya.
Discussions focused on exploring collaboration between IMT-GT and MI in areas such as sustainable logistics, trade facilitation, digital economy, and regional connectivity, while also reviewing opportunities to align IMT-GT’s upcoming 5-year work plan with MI’s expertise. Both sides welcomed the idea of formalising cooperation through an MoU in 2026, supported by short-term joint activities and knowledge exchange.
A promising step toward strengthening inter-subregional partnerships and advancing shared goals in sustainable and inclusive growth.
